HP Hell, the new Dell?

Kris stuurde me een link naar dit verhaal: After Dell, we get HP Hell.  Zijn collega heeft een HP laptop met een defect toetsenbord, en hij wil dringend iemand geld geven om het te laten herstellen.  Helaas voor hem blijkt het quasi onmogelijk zo iemand te vinden via de support van HP.  Lees en huiver hoe hij via een betaalnummer met overdreven lange computerboodschappen terecht komt bij mensen die hem verkeerde nummers doorsturen, hem in wacht zetten en inhaken en nog veel meer.

Een andere collega van Kris publiceert hetzelfde verhaal.  Ironisch genoeg trekt een verwijzing naar Dell in dit artikel de aandacht van de blogmonitoring van Dell, en geeft een Dell vertegenwoordiger via een reactie gratis meer en betere hulp dan HP zelf tot nu toe had gedaan.

I get it back on july, 16th, 2007
The service of HP Belgium is awfull !!
And yes, I also know the story, of expensive pay-numbers. You call, you wait, and nobody can help.

Dat is wel heel lachwekkend. Vroeger kocht ik ook steeds HP maar na enkele problemen (ja, ook de support) ben ik ook maar overgeschakeld op Dell. Maar ik moet zeggen de support verloopt daar net iets beter. Toen mijn laptop een productiefout had stond er binnen de 5dagen een hersteller van Dell aan mijn deur die mijn laptop gratis heeft herstelt.

Review by J. Slafter for Rating: The battery that came with my Dell latpop (Inspiron 1525) finally died after two years, and I was not about to spend big bucks on an official Dell replacement. This 9 cell battery works well! I have followed some of the suggestions made by others, like charging the battery fully and then letting it run most of the way down before recharging. If I'm just browsing the web, working in Word or Excel, or messing around with photos, I usually get close to four hours of battery life. Playing games drains it much faster. I suspect I'm losing battery capacity a little quicker than I did with my factory battery I've only had this one a couple months and it seems like I lose a few minutes each time I charge it could be my imagination, but that's why I gave it only four stars. It does stick out an extra inch beyond the back of my latpop, but it's not that big of a deal. Overall, it's a good battery at a reasonable price.
